A cable car ride takes us to the summit of this magnificent fortress built by King Herod the Great. From the top, we will explore the impressive remains of palaces, storage rooms, and ancient structures while hearing the dramatic story of the Jewish rebels who made their final stand against the Roman Empire. Our final destination is the Dead Sea — the lowest place on Earth, approximately 430 meters below sea level. During this private walking tour, we will explore the fascinating story of Tel Aviv's transformation from a small neighborhood into a vibrant international city. More than 2,000 years ago, King Herod the Great built this magnificent city as a tribute to Emperor Augustus (Octavian). Caesarea became one of the most important cities of Roman Judea — a center of government, commerce, and culture. Walking through the archaeological park, we will discover the remains of this remarkable city, including the Roman Theater, the ancient Hippodrome, the impressive harbor area, and archaeological remains from different periods. We will explore the story of Herod's extraordinary harbor — an engineering achievement that transformed Caesarea into one of the most important ports of the ancient Mediterranean world. If time allows, we will also visit the impressive Roman aqueduct, which supplied fresh water to the city and remains a remarkable example of ancient engineering. From Caesarea, we continue north to Haifa, a beautiful coastal city located on the slopes of Mount Carmel. Here we will visit the spectacular Bahá'í Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Israel's most iconic landmarks. We will visit the Basilica of the Annunciation, built over the traditional site where the Angel Gabriel appeared to Mary and announced the birth of Jesus. Inside the church, we will explore the impressive architecture, artistic elements, and beautiful mosaics donated by Christian communities from around the world. We will also visit the lower grotto, traditionally associated with the home of Mary and Joseph. From Nazareth, we continue to Mount Precipice, where we enjoy a spectacular panoramic view over the Jezreel Valley and Mount Tabor. Our journey continues east to the Sea of Galilee, a place deeply connected with the ministry of Jesus. Depending on time and interests, we may visit important Christian sites including Capernaum, the Mount of Beatitudes, Tabgha, and other sacred locations around the Sea of Galilee.
